Platte Lake Property Owners Association

Platte Lake Property Owners Association’s Mission is dedicated to retaining water quality, preserving the beauty and tranquility of Platte Lake, along with supporting local area organizations. Meetings are held every 3rd Saturday of the month, starting at 10am at the Richardson Town Hall.

Platte Lake

This lake is 1,746 acres and approximately 23 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Black Bullhead, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Large mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Pumpkin seed, Walleye, Yellow Bullhead and Yellow Perch.  Crane, eagle, hawk, duck, geese, loon, and pelican are frequent flyers on our lake.

Fish and Wildlife

Throughout the year, there is plenty of opportunity to see the activities of our precious wildlife. Whether it is the courtship of loons, deer on the island or  eagles fishing, our lake has abundant wildlife to photograph and view. For more information visit Minnesota DNR Lake Finder Info.

Recreation

Boating, Sailing, Swimming. The Association has an Annual Dinner and Meeting in May, and the Annual Picnic in August. Non members are welcome to attend!

Volunteer Opportunities

Taking care of our lake is important to us. We appreciate any and all help from our volunteers. No one does anything singlehandedly, we rely on our groups or teams of people working together. If you can volunteer only once in a while, or on a regular basis, we look forward to your help.

A $40.00 membership entitles each household to 1 vote at association meetings and eligibility for 1 seat on the board of directors. Because we are a 501(c)(3) organization your payment is tax deductible.
